Thank you for visiting Dollar Euro Currency Exchange website. This website (http://doru.jp/) is operated by Rise International Co. for foreign currency exchange purposes. You have to agree to this statement in order to use our service on this website. Please be aware that we change this agreement whenever without any announcement.

1: Buying Foreign Currencies (Bank Transfer)

  1. The rate we use for our service is on this website. We exchange with the rate which you get when you confirm your order. We will call this rate a “fixed rate” from now on. Your rate will not be set on the timing of your delivery.
  2. Your fixed rate will be valid until 11:00 the next business day.(Your fixed rate will be valid until 11:00 the same day you ordered if you ordered before 11:00 on the business days.)Moreover, banks are closed on weekends and holidays, so if you ordered after 15:00 on Friday, your fixed rate would be valid until 11:00 on Monday.If we couldn’t verify your deposit by your deadline, your fixed rate would be updated, and your payment amount would change. Your order will be automatically cancelled after the second time of updating your fixed rate.
  3. The deadline of your payment is 11:00 of the next business day of your order placement. We have to be able to verify your deposit in our account by 11:00, so even if you transferred your payment right before 11:00, we cannot verify your deposit unless it is applied/shown in our account. In this case, your fixed rate will be updated and your payment amount will change. When the transferred amount was less than the total amount, we will change your order (foreign currency) amount, and send out the difference by cash with your foreign currency.On the weekends, we can only verify the deposit from the customers who transferred from Rakuten bank account to our Rakuten bank account. Therefore, please be aware that we can verify your deposit the next business day if you transferred from other banks.
  4. If your deposit amount was more than your total amount, we would send out the difference by cash with your foreign currency. However, if the difference were more than 10,000yen, we will return it by bank transfer. In this case, please be aware that we charge 250yen for transfer fee.
  5. Your foreign currency will be delivered by registered mail. In a rare case of loss and robbery during the delivery, we will pay the total cost. However, please be aware that it is customers’ responsible of loss, robbery, and damages after customers received the package.
  6. Delivery fee is usually 400yen. There are some exceptions like campaigns. If you order more than 100,000yen worth of foreign currencies, there is no delivery fee. However, please be aware that deposit fee is on customers.
  7. When we send out your package, we cannot set the delivery date. It usually takes 1-2days to get delivered to your place from our office. Expected delivery date might get delayed due to traffic congestions, trouble at the post office, and so on. We are not responsible for the incidents above.
  8. We will send out your package on the day we confirmed your deposit if we confirmed your deposit by 15:00 on our business days.
  9. We can only offer distributed bills, so we cannot necessarily send you new banknotes. Except for the conspicuous damages and stains, we would offer some stained, stamped, signed, scribbled, torn banknotes. Please be aware that this criteria is set by us.
  10. We do not handle coins.
  11. We would offer some old designed banknotes, if it is distributed. Please be aware that you might get some different design of banknotes.
  12. We cannot accept cancels after we confirmed your deposit.
  13. Express delivery costs additional 500yen.
  14. Yu-pack delivery costs additional 800yen.
  15. We are using Japan Post Office as a deliverer, so Japan Post Office is responsible for all the responsibilities regarding delivery. We consider that our customers agree to this by putting the check mark before ordering.
  16. Please open the package as soon as you get your package in order to check your order. If the quantities of the bill is different from your receipt, please contact us within two days after you get your package. We cannot take any responsibilities after two days.
  17. You can request for redelivery or ordering for selling foreign currencies if your orders got returned to us due to customers’ reasons like wrong mailing address, out of custody period in post office, etc… It takes 400yen for redelivery. If you request to order selling foreign currencies, we will set your exchange rate at the time when you contacted us.

2: Buying Foreign Currencies (Payment-Upon-Receipt)

  1. The rate we use for our service is on this website. We exchange with the rate which you get when you confirm your order. We will call this rate a “fixed rate” from now on. Your rate will not be set on the timing of your delivery.
  2. Your foreign currency will be delivered by registered mail. In a rare case of loss and robbery during the delivery, we will pay the total cost. However, please be aware that it is customers’ responsible of loss, robbery, and damages after customers received the package.
  3. There are some exceptions like campaigns, but delivery fee is usually 700yen.
  4. When we send out your package, we cannot set the delivery date. It usually takes 1-2days to get delivered to your place from our office. Expected delivery date might get delayed due to traffic congestions, trouble at the post office, and so on. We are not responsible for the incidents above.
  5. We will send out your package on the day you ordered if the order was placed by 15:00 on our business days. Orders placed after 15:00 will be sent out on the next business day.
  6. We can only offer distributed bills, so we cannot necessarily send you new banknotes. Except for the conspicuous damages and stains, we would offer some stained, stamped, signed, scribbled, torn banknotes. Please be aware that this criteria is set by us.

  9. We cannot accept cancels. If you denied to receive the package or cancelled without making the payment, we will ask you to pay the delivery fee (700yen) by bank transfer. You cannot place your order until you pay this.

  12. We are using Japan Post Office as a deliverer, so Japan Post Office is responsible for all the responsibilities regarding delivery. We consider that our customers agree to this by putting the check mark before ordering.

3: Selling Foreign Currencies (Bank Transfer)

  1. The rate we use for our service is on this website. We exchange with the rate which you get when you confirm your order. We will call this rate a “fixed rate” from now on. Your rate will not be set on the timing when your foreign currency get delivered to our office. However, if you send out your foreign currencies 3 days after your order placement, your fixed rate will be updated when we inspect your foreign currency.
  2. Please send out your foreign currency by recorded mail or registered mail which are able to track. If you send out with normal mail, and got robbed or loss, we cannot be responsible to it. Moreover, even if your foreign currency was sent by recorded or registered mail and got robbed or loss during the delivery, we cannot be responsible for it. Please contact the post office where you sent out your foreign currencies from.
  3. In order to exchange with your fixed rate, the postmark deadline has to be within 2 days after you order. If you send out your foreign currencies 3 days after your order placement, your fixed rate will be updated when we inspect your foreign currency.
  4. You cannot cancel your order or change your order details after you sent out your foreign currency. If there were several orders and no order numbers on the envelope, your fixed rate will be updated when we inspect your foreign currency. However, if we were able to figure out which order number from the postmark, we might apply your fixed rate from that order. Please be aware that this decision is set by us.
  5. If your foreign currency was less than what you ordered, we will call or send you an email to confirm it. We will not process the order until we get our customer’s permission, so there might be a delay for exchanging.
  6. If there were some amount differences to foreign currencies, we do our best to investigate the case. If you cannot accept the result, we will send all your foreign currencies back to you. The delivery fee for sending back your foreign currency is on us, but we cannot take any further responsibilities.
  7. We don’t handle coins. Please be aware that we cannot send your coins back. We will donate all the coins we receive to UNICEF and NPOs. (Except for some campaigns.)
  8. We can only exchange distributed bills, so if there were some old bills in foreign currencies you sent, there might be a change to the exchange amount.
  9. We cannot exchange bills which are conspicuously damaged and has obvious stains and mold. If there were some bills which we cannot exchange, we will exchange the ones we can and deposit into your bank account. The criteria of making the decision of exchangeable bills are set by us. We can either send you back (additional 500yen for delivery fee) or donate to NPOs the ones we couldn’t exchange.
  10. If there were some bills which we cannot exchange, we will either send you back (additional 500yen for delivery fee) or donate to NPOs. The longest time we can keep your non-exchangeable bills are 6months. Please be aware that if we didn’t get any replies from you for 6months, we will donate to NPOs.
  11. Deposit fee is usually 250yen (except for some campaigns). If you exchange more than 100,000yen worth of foreign currencies, there is no deposit fee.
  12. If your exchange amount became less than 100,000yen due to non-exchangeable bills, we will subtract the deposit fee 250yen from the total amount and transfer to your bank account, even if you ordered to exchange more than 100,000yen worth of foreign currencies.
  13. If we do not get your foreign currency within 7 days after your order, your order will be automatically cancelled with customers’ reason. In this case, we will charge you a cancel fee as stated in <15: Cancel Fee>.Please read <15: Cancel Fee> for the direction of cancel fee payment.

4: Selling Foreign Currencies (Mailing)

  1. The rate we use for our service is on this website. We exchange with the rate which you get when you confirm your order. We will call this rate a “fixed rate” from now on. Your rate will not be set on the timing when your foreign currency get delivered to our office. However, if you send out your foreign currencies 3 days after your order placement, your fixed rate will be updated when we inspect your foreign currency.
  2. Please send out your foreign currency by recorded mail or registered mail which are able to track. If you send out with normal mail, and got robbed or loss, we cannot be responsible to it. Moreover, even if your foreign currency was sent by recorded or registered mail and got robbed or loss during the delivery, we cannot be responsible for it. Please contact the post office where you sent out your foreign currencies.

We will send you back the ones we couldn’t exchange with your exchanged Japanese yen.
  10. Delivery fee is usually 550yen (except for some campaigns). Even if we need to send out your Japanese yen in two different envelope due to big amount, the delivery fee is only 550yen as usual. In this case, you might not be able to get delivered both envelope at the same time.
  11. Express delivery costs additional 500yen.
  12. We assure the customers of paying the whole amount for loss and robbery before the customers receive of registered mail for cash from us. However, the customers are responsible for loss and robbery after they receive it.
  13. If we do not get your foreign currency within 7 days after your order, your order will be automatically cancelled with customers’ reason. In this case, we will charge you a cancel fee as stated in <15: Cancel Fee>.Please read <15: Cancel Fee> for the direction of cancel fee payment.

5: Exchanging from Foreign Currencies to Foreign Currencies

  1. The rate we use for our service is on this website. We exchange with the rate which you get when you confirm your order. We will call this rate a “fixed rate” from now on. Your rate will not be set on the timing when your foreign currency get delivered to our office. However, if you send out your foreign currencies 3 days after your order placement, your fixed rate will be updated when we inspect your foreign currency.
  2. The minimum denomination of the bill is different from each foreign currencies, so there might be a slight difference for the amount you get from the calculation on our website.
  3. If we receive more foreign currency than you ordered, we will exchange the excess foreign currency into JPY and send it back to you. If the excess amount is equal or less than 10,000yen, we will send it back with your foreign currencies. However, if excess amount is more than 10,000yen, please choose from the options below.

    ① Bank Transfer: We will deposit into your bank account.
    Deposit fee 0yen – More than 100,000yen
    Deposit fee 250yen – Less than 100,000yen
    ② Mailing: We will send out with registered mail for cash to your mailing address. Delivery fee is 550yen.

  4. In the case there is insufficient amount that was sent, please deposit the remaining amount in JPY to our bank account. The deposit fee will be paid for by the customer.
  5. Your fixed rate will be valid until 11:00 the next business day. (Your fixed rate will be valid until 11:00 the same day you ordered if you ordered before 11:00 on the business days.) Moreover, banks are closed on weekends and holidays, so if you ordered after 11:00 on Friday, your fixed rate would be valid until 11:00 on Monday. If we couldn’t verify your deposit by your deadline, your fixed rate would be updated based on current rate, and your payment amount would change.
  6. Please send out your foreign currency by recorded mail or registered mail which can be tracked. If you send out with normal mail, and is delivered incorrectly or if the contents are stolen or lost, we cannot be responsible to it. If you send out via registered mail that can be tracked and the mail is stolen or incorrectly delivered, please contact the post office and follow up with them directly. We will not be responsible for following up with the postal office.
  7. In order to exchange with your fixed rate, the postmark deadline has to be within 2 days after you order. If you send out your foreign currencies 3 days after your order placement, your fixed rate will be updated when we inspect your foreign currency.
  8. We don’t handle coins. Please be aware that we cannot send your coins back. We will donate all the coins we receive to UNICEF and NPOs. (Except for some campaigns.) We cannot count coins into the exchange amount, so please be aware that your amount will change from what you have ordered.
  9. We can only exchange distributed bills that are still officially accepted by each countries respective governments, so if you send us old bills in foreign currencies that are no longer officially accepted, we will adjust your order amount.
  10. We cannot exchange bills which are conspicuously damaged and has obvious stains and mold. If there were some bills which we cannot exchange, we will exchange the ones we can and your exchange amount will change. The criteria of making the decision of exchangeable bills are set by us and posted on our site. We will send you back the ones we couldn’t exchange with your foreign currencies you bought from us.
  11. We offer all distributed bank notes but cannot guarantee that they will be brand new banknotes. Except for the conspicuous damages and stains, your order may include banknotes that are stained, stamped, signed, scribbled, or slightly torn. Please be aware that this criteria is set by us and is posted on our site.
  12. We offer some old design banknotes, as long as they are officially accepted by their respective governments. Please be aware that you might get some different design of banknotes.
  13. Process fee is 500yen. There are some exceptions like campaigns but otherwise, this 500yen will be subtracted from the total amount that you can buy.
  14. Once we get your foreign currencies, we will inspect it, and send out your foreign currencies which you bought, so it would take about 3-6days for you to finally get your foreign currencies you bought.
  15. Your foreign currency will be delivered by registered mail. In a rare case of loss and robbery during the delivery, we will pay the total cost. However, please be aware that it is customers’ responsibility for any loss, robbery, and damages after the customer receives the package.
  16. Express delivery costs additional 500yen.
  17. Yu-pack delivery costs additional 800yen.
  18. When we send out your package, we cannot set the delivery date. It usually takes 1-2days to get delivered to your place from our office. Expected delivery date might get delayed due to traffic congestions, trouble at the post office, and so on. We are not responsible for the incidents above.
  19. We are using Japan Post Office and other official courier services as a deliverer, so Japan Post Office/official courier company is responsible for all the responsibilities regarding delivery. We consider that our customers agree to this by putting the check mark before ordering. Any delays or loss during delivery will be the responsibility of the courier service.
  20. Please open the package as soon as you get your package in order to check your order. If the quantities of the bill is different from your receipt, please contact us within two days after you get your package. We cannot take any responsibilities after two days.
  21. If the order is returned to us due to no one picking up the package at the post office during the set storage time, the customer can choose to resend it again or have the amount exchanged and deposited into their account. If it is converted back into JPY, it will be treated as a new transaction and the exchange rate and deposit fees will apply. If the order is being re-sent, ther will be another 500 JPY delivery fee deducted from the order.

6: Visiting Our Office

  1. The rate we use for our service is on this website. We exchange with the rate which you get when you confirm your order. We will call this rate a “fixed rate” from now on. Your rate will not be set on the timing when you visit our office.
  2. We cannot change your fixed rate once we confirm your order. Therefore, we cannot also update your rate to the one when you visit our office.
  3. An appointment has to be made at least one business day before your visit. We cannot allow you to come into our office without any appointments. This applies also for visiting our office at the same day you called.
  4. The possible appointment hours are our business hours (10:00 ~ 18:00 weekdays). However, we are packing the orders from 15:00 ~ 17:00, so you cannot make an appointment to come in during this time period. Moreover, we cannot accept any visits during the weekends and holidays.
  5. Once we confirm your order, you cannot cancel. If you want to cancel your order, we charge you a cancel fee. Cancel fee is 5% of your order amount in Japanese yen. Please be aware that you cannot make another order until you pay this cancel fee.
  6. If you cannot make it to our office on the reservation date due to a good reason like natural disaster, illness, etc…, you can reschedule your visit. The rescheduled date has to be within 7days from your order confirmation. Your fixed rate will not change.
  7. You can order by calling us. We will call you back if you send us an e-mail to info@doru.jp. If you ordered online beforehand, we will call you back in order to schedule your appointment date.
  8. We will charge you 1,000yen for process fee. There are some exceptions like campaigns. If you order more than 300,000yen or worth of foreign currencies, there is no process fee.
  9. Our office is located at <6-7-1 Town House Minami-aoyama, Apt.201 MinamiAoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo 107-0062>. We do not have any other branch stores.

7: Orders of Large Amount (Buying Foreign Currencies)

  1. Orders larger than 1,000,000yen can be only ordered with Bank Transfer. We cannot take an order with Payment-Upon-Receipt. Please refer to <6: Visiting Our Office> if you want to visit our office.
  2. The deadline of your payment is below.
    Ordered during 11:00 ~ 15:00 on business days: 15:00
    Ordered after 15:00 on business days, weekends and holidays: 11:00 of next business day
    If we couldn’t verify your deposit by your deadline, your order will be cancelled automatically.
    If we received your payment after your deadline, your rate will be updated to the one at the time we received your payment.
  3. If we didn’t have enough stocks of foreign currencies or Japanese yen, we will call or send you an email. In this case, if you have already deposited your payment and want to cancel, we will return your full payment including your deposit fee.
  4. If you need the full amount you ordered, in a case we didn’t have the stock to offer you, we can gather the short amount of foreign currency for you. In this case, we need to ask you to deposit 5% of your order amount in Japanese yen. The deadline of this deposit is the same as above [7: Orders of Larger Amount (Buying Foreign Currencies) 2.]
  5. If you cancelled your order due to customer’s own reasons after paying the deposit, this will be the cancel fee, and we cannot return this deposit to you.
  6. In order to avoid money laundering, we ask for your ID (driver’s license, insurance card, passport, etc.) if you want to buy or sell over 2,000,000yen worth foreign currencies. We also need you to answer for some questions. You cannot order through us if you cannot show us your ID. Moreover, if you are buying/selling over 2,000,000yen worth of foreign currencies behalf of your company, you have to have an original copy of certificate of registered matters published within 6months, and ID of the person who placed the order.
  7. Even if the order wasn’t over 2,000,000yen or worth of foreign currencies, we might require your signature on our confirmation statement. If you cannot give us your signature, you cannot order through us.
  8. Please be aware that there may be some delay for the process depending on the stock we have.

8: Orders of Large Amount (Selling Foreign Currencies)

  1. We need to check our stock of Japanese yen, so please let us know before you send out your foreign currencies to our office if you ordered over 2,000,000yen.
  2. Please send out your foreign currency by recorded mail or registered mail which are able to track. The coverage limit of recorded delivery is 50,000yen, so if you want to raise the coverage to 5,000,000yen, please send it with registered mail.
  3. If your package got robbed or loss during the delivery, we cannot be responsible for it. Please contact the post office where you sent out your foreign currencies from.
  4. In order to avoid money laundering, we ask for your ID (driver’s license, insurance card, passport, etc.) if you want to buy or sell over 2,000,000yen worth foreign currencies. We also need you to answer for some questions. You cannot order through us if you cannot show us your ID. Moreover, if you are buying/selling over 2,000,000yen worth of foreign currencies behalf of your company, you have to have an original copy of certificate of registered matters published within 6months, and ID of the person who placed the order.
  5. Even if the order wasn’t over 2,000,000yen or worth of foreign currencies, we might require your signature on our confirmation statement. If you cannot give us your signature, you cannot order through us.

  7. Please be aware that there may be some delay for the process depending on the stock we have.

9: Stock Shortage and Deposit

  1. If we didn’t have enough stocks of foreign currencies or Japanese yen, we will call or send you an email. In this case, if you have already deposited your payment and want to cancel, we will return your full payment including your deposit fee.
  2. If you need the full amount you ordered, in a case we didn’t have the stock to offer you, we can gather the short amount of foreign currency for you. In this case, we need to ask you to deposit 5% of your order amount in Japanese yen. The deadline of this deposit is the same as above [1: Buying Foreign Currencies (Bank Transfer) 3.]
  3. If you cancelled your order due to customer’s own reasons after paying the deposit, this will be the cancel fee, and we cannot return this deposit to you.

10: Cancellation of Order

We have a right to cancel the orders in case of subject below. *we are referring to the website called XE Currency (http://www.xe.com/) for the market rate.

  1. When the foreign exchange market fluctuates greatly. Greatly means when the market rate fluctuates more than 2% from the point when the customer placed the order.
  2. When there is more than 10% separation between market rate and our fixed rate due to system error and any other incidents.
  3. We consider you have agreed that we can cancel the orders whose fixed rates are lower than the market rate for buying foreign currency orders and higher than the market rate for selling foreign currency orders.

11: Fulfillment of an obligation

  1. We are offering our service based on promising your fixed rate at the time you ordered. Therefore, our customers have an obligation to pursue the order. However, you can cancel the order by paying cancel fee stated in <15: Cancel Fee>.

12: Prohibition of Heavy Repetition Orders

  1. Even if you have placed multiple orders, we will process in chronological order.
  2. Therefore, even if you send us your Japanese yen or foreign currencies for your newer orders, we will first deal with the oldest orders you have placed that have not yet been processed.

13: Identification Paper

  1. Article 7.3 and Article 8.4 specify terms when we need to check your ID.
  2. We reserve the right to request and check your ID regardless of order amount. If you cannot show us your ID, we reserve the right to cancel the order.

14: Cancellation of order

    We will cancel orders that meet the following criteria

  1. Repeated customer cancellations
  2. If you indicate unwillingness to agree to terms presented on site Once we communicate that your order is cancelled, if a subsequent order is placed and money is sent, we reserve the right to cancel the order. In this case, we will not be responsible for any costs associated with the cancelled transaction.

15: Cancel Fee

  1. Lists below are the cases we charge for cancel fees.
    When cancellation is done by customer.
    ② When customer’s payment deadline expires for buying foreign currency orders.
    ③ When customer’s order haven’t been processed after 7 days for selling foreign currency orders.
    ④ When customers decide to decrease the exchange amount more than 20% of initial amount.
  2. The amount of cancel fee depends on each cases.
    ① Orders with delivery: 1% of the order amount in Japanese Yen
    ② Orders with office-visit: 5% of the order amount in Japanese Yen

    A. You get charged for office-visit cancel fee even if you changed from office-visit to delivery

    ③ When customers decide to decrease the exchange amount more than 20% of initial amount

    A. Orders with delivery: 1% of the difference between the initial amount and the changed amount in Japanese Yen.

    B. Orders with office-visit: 5% of the difference between the initial amount and the changed amount in Japanese Yen.

  3. If you place a new order without paying a cancel fee, we will ask you to pay in a way of below.
    ① You can either pay your cancel fee by bank transfer or by cash if you are visiting our office for the next order.
    ② Buying foreign currency orders

    A. We will adjust your total amount (JPY) by adding your cancel fee to your new order. If cancel fee was not included in your deposited amount for the bank-transfer order, we will adjust your foreign currency by decreasing the amount.

    ③ Selling foreign currency orders

    A. We will adjust your Japanese Yen by subtracting the cancel fee from your total amount which you can get from exchanging.
